Google Officially Launches Online Store in India

Google officially launched its online Google Store in India at the end of May 2025, allowing Indian consumers to purchase Pixel smartphones, smartwatches, earbuds, and accessories directly from Google for the first time.

Previously, Google devices were only available through third party retailers such as Flipkart, Amazon, Croma, and Reliance Digital.

  Products Offered

The Google Store India features the latest Pixel smartphones (including Pixel 8, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold), the Pixel Watch 3, Pixel Buds Pro 2, and a range of official accessories like phone cases, USB C power adapters, and watch bands.

  Exclusive Launch Offers and Pricing

Google is offering exclusive launch prices, significant discounts, and special deals not available through other retailers.

  Example launch prices:

    Pixel 9 Pro Fold: ₹1,72,999 → ₹1,62,999

    Pixel 9 Pro: ₹1,09,999 → ₹99,999

    Pixel 9: ₹79,999 → ₹74,999

    Pixel 8 Pro: ₹99,999 → ₹62,999

    Pixel 8a: ₹49,999 → ₹34,999

  Customer Benefits

Pixel Price Promise:   If a customer finds a better price at a selected retail partner or on the Google Store within the return period, they may be eligible for a partial refund to match the lower price.

Flexible Payment Options:   The store offers up to 24 months of no cost EMI (Equated Monthly Installments) via HDFC and over 15 other select banks, instant cashback on select credit card transactions, and UPI payment support.

Exchange Bonuses:   Special exchange bonuses are available for trading in old smartphones, with extra benefits for existing Pixel users upgrading their devices.

Store Credits:   Customers can earn store credits on select purchases, usable for future orders.

Comprehensive Support:   Purchases come with official warranties, access to authorized repair centers (including free doorstep pickup and delivery for repairs), and 24/7 support from Pixel trained experts.

This direct to consumer launch is a major shift in Google’s retail strategy for India, aiming to provide a more seamless, competitive, and customer focused buying experience.

Google has indicated this is part of a broader, long term commitment to the Indian market, including investments in local manufacturing and service centers.

Reports suggest Google may also be planning to open its first physical retail store in India in the future.

In summary, the Google Store India launch brings direct access, exclusive deals, and enhanced support for Indian consumers, marking a significant milestone for Google’s presence in one of the world’s largest smartphone markets.
