iPhone 11 release date, price, news and leaks

The timing for the iPhone 11 announcement should not surprise anyone. Apple's smartphone-focused keynotes take place routinely in early September.
The latest rumor in the iPhone 11 suggests that you can pre-order the handset from September 14th.
Two more significant signals that we are getting a sequel to an iPhone X: the Product Red iPhone 8 and iOS 11.4 have been out for a while, indicating that we are exceeding the average life cycle for both Apple's phone hardware and software.
It is said that the iPhone 11 comes alongside two other iPhones, but what they will all be called – and offering – remains to be seen. For now it seems that we can get the iPhone 9, iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Plus (names of TBC).
When will the iPhone 11 be launched? What new features will it have? And will it still be a step up? Let's see what we expect from Apple's next flagship iPhone.
The iPhone 11 will be Apple's next flagship
Probably September 12, 2018
Probably the same price as the iPhone X last year
We have every reason to believe that the iPhone 11 will be launched in early September, because Apple tends to follow a schedule when launching the phone. It also has to keep pace with the iPhone upgrade program so that everyone innovates with them. More specifically, based on previous launches, it will probably be announced one or two weeks in September. In fact, we did the research and we know exactly what the launch date of the iPhone 11 is.
iPhone 11 price
A lot, probably about the same as the iPhone X: $ 999 (£ 999, ₹89,000) Even without the official iPhone XI price, we know it will cost a lot. Apple has priced the iPhone X from $ 999 (£ 999, AU $ 1,579). We could see identical prices for the iPhone 11.
Apple could reportedly reduce the cost of some components by 10% – a saving that could be passed on to buyers. It can also stop bundling a headphone adapter with its new phones to further reduce costs, an analyst predicts.
But we are not looking for a cheap iPhone XI. Instead, Apple plans to make a phone with many of the features of the iPhone X available at a lower price, in addition to a premium model, according to multiple sources.
We call this the iPhone 9 for now and it can have a cheaper LCD screen. It is an intriguing statement, although early adopters will probably still be more interested in the iPhone 11.
iPhone 11 video is generated
The premium Apple iPhone for 2018 can be delivered in two sizes (an iPhone 11 and an iPhone 11 Plus) and there are already video views of what the iPhone XI Plus version might look like.
This version in this CAD diagram's acquired by MySmartPrice and OnLeaks would be based on an iPhone with a 6.5-inch screen, while the normal iPhone 11 can get a 5.8-inch OLED screen size that we've seen with the iPhone X.
Everything looks the same on the outside, up to the camera with double lens at the back. But we fully expect Apple to give the iPhone XI some internal surprises.
iPhone 11 screen
The hottest leaks:
iPhone 11 screen: about 5.8 inches
Screen of iPhone 11 Plus: between 6.3 and 6.5 inches
There may not be one iPhone XI but two, with several rumors suggesting that Apple has a pair of OLED screen phones in the making.
We first heard about them before even the iPhone X was launched, with the earliest rumors that it would be 5.85 inches and the other 6.46 inches, sizes that have reverberated since then. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also said similar, claiming that this year there will be two OLED iPhones with stainless steel frames.
More recently, we heard another similar screen rumble, with a source saying that Apple will launch OLED phones in 5.8 and 6.3-inch sizes, along with a third 6.1-inch phone (the iPhone 9) that LCD screen and a metal back will have (instead of glass).
No phone has a name, but the LCD-switched device is probably cheaper and probably follows the design of the iPhone 8.
And Ming-Chi Kuo has since come back with additional details about these phones, claiming that the iPhone XI will come in 5.8 and 6.5-inch sizes, so there is still no complete agreement on size.
He added that the 6.5-inch handset will have a pixel density of 480-500 pixels per inch (ppi), while the 5.8-inch will probably be 458 ppi.

A new, fourth color option: gold
Stainless steel frame, probably packed in glass
Ming-Chi Kuo said that the iPhone 11 will have a stainless steel frame, which is logical because that is where almost every iPhone is built. There is no word about what material will charm the frame, but we expect Apple to continue with the glass finish it has used on the iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus. Another Kuo report also claims that there will be a new color for the iPhone XI. He believes that Apple will offer the iPhone XI in black, white and gold. We have not seen a golden shadow of the iPhone since the iPhone SE in 2016.
A concept of how the new color iPhone XI and iPhone 9 can look like (credit: 9To5Mac) Elsewhere we have seen a diagram (below) with the iPhone XI Plus, complete with dimensions of 157.2 x 77.1 mm. If that's right, the 11 Plus would be slightly smaller than the 158.4 x 78.1 mm iPhone 8 Plus, despite the fact that it apparently has a much larger 6.5-inch screen.
A larger screen, but smaller body for the iPhone 11 Plus? (credit: Forbes / Ghostek)
That roughly corresponds to a rumor that the iPhone XI Plus could have an iPhone 8 Plus size body, despite an inch extra screen, but changes in the camera may mean that the phone is 0.2 mm thicker, which means that it would be 158.4 x 78.1 x 7.7 mm.
The same source claims that the standard iPhone XI has the same shell as the iPhone X, except that it is slightly thicker thanks to a larger sensor and lens on the back, which suggests that we might see camera enhancements.
In addition to small bezels on the top and bottom, Apple can also slim down the already small side panels on their new phones, as the picture below, divided by Ice-universe, shows that the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Plus may be slimmer than the iPhone 9.

Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple is unlikely to install a version of the TrueDepth camera for Face ID and Animoji on the back of the phone, but he believes the iPhone 11 will have dual back cameras.
The iPhone XI might have an even smarter camera on the front than the iPhone X, as one Apple patent points to a camera system with one lens that can detect both depth and a lens with two lenses, although this may not be ready in time for the next iPhone, if it is already coming.
Separately, Kuo has said that the iPhone XI may support faster mobile data speeds and comes with a slot for two SIM cards and 4 GB of RAM.
The support for two SIM cards was further supported by rules code that can be found in the upcoming iOS 12 software update – meaning that iPhone users could finally take advantage of two SIMs in one phone.
And he said separately that Apple will probably only use Intel modems for 2018 models, instead of splitting the order between Intel and Qualcomm.
We also had other tips on the power of the iPhone XI of a benchmark, which shows a nameless iPhone with 4 GB of RAM and a 2.49 GHz hexa-core chipset.
It is certainly Face ID, a new chipset (possibly the A12, but with a new name to follow the A10 Fusion and A11 Bionic).
iPhone 11 battery
larger battery Quick charger
Kuo also claims that the 5.8-inch model has an approximately 10% larger battery than the iPhone X, while the 6.5-inch model can have a battery of about 3,300 / 3,400 mAh, which would be about 25% larger.
The new models can also be charged faster, because a separate source claims that Apple can pack a quick charger into the box instead of having to buy one separately.
We have heard that now more than once, but the latest reports suggest that you can not buy it separately. So if you want Apple's new fast charger, you might need to buy a new iPhone to get it.
