I wish that I had born in the past. You will not hear many grown-ups or high school kids saying something like this. Why would they say this? Today, the world is advanced. The technology has improved greatly in the previous decade.
Who might need to go back in the past when there was no technology, smartphones, cars, or cash? However, I would still go back, in light of the fact that the thoughts and standards of people were far better in the past. Our society today is diabolical, which is provoking a great number of problems.
People have started to question norms of modern society. What is the reason of social issues? What can we do to right the wrongs? In the current times, when each day, we come to know about shootings at school, drugs busts, thefts, rapes, and individuals under threat, our minds fail to identify the responsible cause.
We are applying the Band-Aid on our issues, with more prison facilities, more police in the city, and more metal detectors in the schools. In addition, a great number of several other ideas, which do not, solve the issues of this society successfully.
It is thought provoking that people record many incidents of emergencies each day and then put them on the social media. Since the quantity of cell phones is expanding, the people could just call the 911 immediately, rather than taking their phones out and taking the photographs. Yes, it is greatly stupid.
It is a well-known fact that the society is imperfect – reliance on technology, weight, taxes, downgrading of our workers- to give some examples. A few people may not have any desire to consider any of these issues as they are. However, the artist John Holcraft looks at them plainly without flinching and he portrays them satirically.
He makes them in a style like 50’s promotion ads and uses the vintage feel – John Holcraft catches the social issues and the modern behavior of today perfectly in his representations. He has a ruthlessly honest approach.
