 New Bluetooth 6.0 has been announced!

The main innovation is that distances to devices can now be determined with an accuracy of up to a centimeter.
This opens up many new scenarios for developers to use connected devices.

Provides centimeter-level distance measurement between Bluetooth devices, offering improved accuracy for location-based applications

Enhances the performance of Find My solutions by enabling precise tracking of lost items

Adds an extra layer of security for digital key solutions by ensuring access is granted only when an authorized device is within a specific range

Improves the efficiency of Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Extended Advertising through Decision-Based Advertising Filtering, allowing devices to scan for relevant packets more effectively

Introduces Monitoring Advertisers to track device presence more accurately using Host Controller Interface (HCI) events, preventing wasted energy during scanning

Includes ISOAL enhancements that reduce latency and improve reliability for audio applications, ensuring more efficient data transmission

Allows devices to exchange information about supported link-layer features through the updated LL Extended Feature Set

Enables negotiable frame spacing in connections and connected isochronous streams (CIS), providing more flexible data transmission rates
