 Android is on the verge of introducing a groundbreaking feature called "Private Space," allowing users to safeguard specific apps within a secure area. This feature, akin to Samsung's Secure Folder, might be integrated into Android 15, marking a significant advancement in user privacy.  Your smartphone is a repository of sensitive information, from personal data to confidential photos and videos. While it typically stays within your sight, there are instances where you might need to lend your phone to someone else, necessitating the concealment of your most private data. Presently, Android lacks native support for hiding sensitive apps in a secure zone, but this could change soon with the imminent arrival of the "Private Space" feature.  The recent release of Android 14 QPR2 Beta 2 confirms the existence and functionality of the "Private Space" feature, first glimpsed in Android 14 QPR2 Beta 1. This feature empowers users to hide apps from prying eyes, and accessing it involves navigating to Settings → Security & privacy → Private Space.  Setting up this feature initiates the creation of a new Android profile categorized as "android.os.usertype.profile.PRIVATE." This profile, linked to the primary user akin to a work profile, ensures that notifications from apps within the private profile remain concealed when the profile is locked or paused. To configure the private profile, users must sign in to a Google Account, enabling the installation of new apps from the profile's instance of the Google Play Store.  At present, apps within the private profile can be accessed from the bottom of the app drawer, rather than through a separate tab. Google is also testing a feature allowing users to search for "private space" in the launcher's search bar for direct access, enhancing discretion for those utilizing this feature discreetly.  The upcoming "Private Space" feature in Android represents a significant leap in user privacy, providing a secure enclave to safeguard sensitive apps and information, ensuring greater control and confidentiality over personal data.
